(One of the) Things We Lost in the Fire.
I think I got this kids’ periscope from a flea market, and it was in my little loft closet for years.  It was too awesome to throw away, and I liked it enough to never give it to anyone.  Ah well.
Took a lot of photos, but I’m holding off posting more than this for the time being. I think is one of the best I got.  It was very difficult to get anything worthwhile because I had to center objects while in the dark and holding a flashlight, play with the camera settings (close-up proved very useful), and try to make the auto-focus do what I wanted.  It’s annoying to find otherwise interesting shots turn out to be fuzzy or focused at the wrong distance.
However, this one was a pleasant surprise.
