I have to say that its wonderful to see a lady with sexy curves doing steampunk!wear. And as Steampunk over-fetishes white bodies, I am really glad to see a woman of color doing cosplay like this.

And from a very (some would say too) personal point, I’m built along the same lines as this lady, (though I’m nearly 6 feet tall and I can’t tell how big she is from these photos) and I look at steampunk gals and think how lovely they are without all this hip and all this bust and all these legs and arms that don’t look even a bit frail. And I think of how I would have looked in those costumes, in the days before these parts came. 

And then I see this, on a day when my body has rankled even more so than most days. 

And I just … I feel just a bit human again.
