This is why I would pay someone to clean.

Earlier this afternoon a small, passive-aggressive tableau was left on the stairs in the form of a can of Pledge, a paper towel, and the little dusty table.  I looked at it briefly, and moved on because something else seemed more important at the time.  Turned out, as per the statement, “I left that for you as a message to clean the table,” it was the first priority in our housekeeping triage.

I wanted (still want) to leave my own little sign in return saying “I do not respond to abstract passive-aggressive messages.”

However, it would be displayed as: [eye ball] [C-note in staff] [bowline-knot] [“10-4”] [Gemini] [Jackson Pollock] [small image of a bottle of Pledge with a towel sitting on a table] [telegrams].

Of course, this is all counter-productive.  And it was much quicker to clean the table than craft a sign.  So I posted this mal-adaptive creativity to internet instead.
